Maria Breen-Fahey is an author from Galway.  Her book Silly Sammy is published by Tribes Press.

Maria had a childhood dog, a cheeky terrier, who gave her many eventful and memorable moments growing up.  As a primary school teacher, Maria always encourages her students to make connections to their lives, the environment around them and their interests when they are reading.  Literacy is one of Maria’s passions and reading for pleasure is of huge importance for children.  By writing Silly Sammy, Maria is sharing her bond with her childhood dog as a source of inspiration and connection.

Sammy has her owner wrapped around her paw, she is cheeky but loveable and the story shows her adventures around the town of Bertsville.  All the people in Bertsville know Sammy!!!
